2002-11-16 : Anssi Raisanens game, Out of
the Study, (the single Alan game) finished 24th
of the 43 games entered in the 8th Annual
Interactive Fiction Competition. Hurray for
Anssi, and thanks for keeping the Alan flag
up. Where are all the other authors?
2001-11-16 : 3 Alan games in the 2001 Annual
Interactive Fiction Competition!!! "The Chasing" (by Anssi
Raisanen), finished 14th, "The Isolato Incident" (by Alan
DeNiro) finished 22nd, and "To Otherwhere and Back" (by
Gregory Ewing) finished 28th. Well done!
Source code available!!! Due to a change in the licensing
policy of the compiler building tools used to create the
compiler it is now possible to distribute the source
code. You can download it from the download page.

Version 0.3.1 of the proposed standard library is now
available with many improvements and new features. Have a
look at it here.
A new version of the PDF manual is available. No major
contents have changed, main purpose is to make sure that
the full production cycle of it works when major changes
start to happen.
A BeOS port of the 2.8 interpreter is available.

A Glk port of the Alan interpreter for various Linux'es,
Windows and DOS has been performed by Joe Mason and a
MacIntosh version by Iain Merrick. Get it

The first Alan utility has been created by Stephen Griffiths. A tool
to extract all text from a games source for spell checking
or other purposes. Get it from the download page!
